About

The writer behind the words.

I’m Ivor Phillips — a narrative designer and game writer based in Birmingham, Alabama. I write the parts of a game players quote back to each other a week later: the choice with no good answer, the throwaway barkline that turns out to be the whole theme, the worldbuilding detail that survives the patch notes.
I hold a B.A. in English with a concentration in Commercial Game Writing from Birmingham-Southern College (Magna Cum Laude, 3.8 GPA), and I keep sharpening the craft through edX coursework and The Narrative Department’s Game Writing Masterclass.
